Tower Group

Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy & Ecker, P.A., stands as one of a select number of law firms that offers full service representation for tower owners and tower landlords.  The Firm’s expertise stems from a pool of attorneys with experience on all matters relevant to today’s tower industry, including telecommunications, zoning and leasing.

Alan Tilles, Chair of the Firm’s Telecommunications Group, has extensive experience in the radio propagation area of wireless radio regulation.  Additionally, Mr. Tilles serves as Regulatory Consultant for Mobile Radio Technology Magazine, and formerly served as Regulatory Consultant for Wireless Business and Technology Magazine and Communications Magazine.

In the area of zoning, Larry Gordon, an attorney with the Firm’s Zoning Group with over nineteen years of practice and an Adjunct Lecturer in land use law at the George Washington University Law School, is intimately familiar with the benefits, practical limitations and procedural nuances of land use and permitting processes of zoning for the wireless communications industry.  Larry’s representation of both private and public sector clients includes residential, commercial and industrial developers and builders; institutions; quasi-governmental agencies; and municipalities.  His experience brings a rich, well-rounded perspective to all matters that may influence wireless communications business decisions.

In the area of leasing or general real estate, Doug Hirsch, the Chairman of the Firm's Leasing/Brokerage Practice Group, brings a crucial element to the group.  Mr. Hirsch has extensive experience in land acquisitions, sale and lease-back transactions, construction contracts and financing transactions.  As entities seeking to construct additional towers often face environmental and political obstacles, the importance of utilizing existing facilities for wireless communication needs is no longer an option in many cases, but rather the norm.  For a tower owner represented by competent counsel, leasing or sale of tower assets promises to be a rich source of revenue.
