Robert B. Canter is Chairman of the firm's Taxation Practice Group. His primary areas of practice are taxation, formation of business entities and mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive experience in negotiating and structuring start-up companies, negotiating and drafting acquisition and sale documents, and resolving disputes among shareholders and partners. Mr. Canter is a frequent lecturer on taxation and business issues to lawyers, accountants and other professionals in Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. He previously practiced as an attorney at Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel and judicial clerkship at U.S. Tax Court.
