Melissa G. Bernstein is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Group.  Her practice consists of commercial real estate transactions, commercial loan transactions, and commercial leasing.  Ms. Bernstein has successfully structured, negotiated, documented and closed all types of real estate transactions, including the acquisition, development, leasing, financing and refinancing of large mixed-use projects, retail projects, shopping centers, multi-story office building and hotels.  Ms. Bernstein's leasing practice focuses on office and retail leasing, both on behalf of landlords and tenants. 

Prior to joining Shulman Rogers Ms. Bernstein served as the Assistant General Counsel to the Washington Redskins for four years.  In this capacity, Ms. Bernstein advised the corporate and operations' departments of the team, as well as its affiliates and subsidiaries. 

Prior to joining the Washington Redskins, Ms. Bernstein worked in Washington , DC in the Public Policy, International Law, and Corporate Law practice groups at Baker, Donelson, Bearman & Caldwell, PC.
