Larry A. Gordon joined the Firm as Of Counsel in 2001. In practice since 1982, he focuses on administrative land use, zoning and local government law and related legislative and lobbying matters. He represents both private and public sector clients including residential, commercial and industrial developers and builders, institutions, quasi-governmental agencies, and municipalities. A former land planner with the Fairfax County, Virginia Park Authority, he has served as Professorial Lecturer of Land Use Law at The George Washington University Law School continuously since 1988. A 1991 graduate, former Board Member (1992-1997), and current General Counsel of Leadership Montgomery (1998-Present), Mr. Gordon received a 2001 Distinguished Leader of the Year Award from the International Community Leadership Association. He is the immediate past Chairman of the Montgomery County Friends of Recreation and Vice President of the Potomac Region Chapter of U.S. Lacrosse.  He is currently serving as a member of the West Montgomery County Citizens Advisory Board and as Volunteer General Counsel to the Garden of Remembrance.

Included among his non-developer/builder clients have been:   the cities of Annapolis, Maryland (Outside Land Use Counsel) and Chesapeake, Virginia (Growth Management Commission Facilitator); the Resolution Trust Corporation (National Land Use Due Diligence Coordinator); the National Trust for Historic Preservation (Consultant on Montpelier, Virginia homestead of James and Dolly Madison); and the United States Information Agency (Academic Specialist in Land Use and Environmental Planning and Law to the Argentine Council on Architecture and Urbanism).
