Douglas Hirsch serves as the Chairman of the Firm's Leasing Practice Group with emphasis in office and retail leasing and complex real estate and commercial transactions. He also has extensive experience in land acquisitions, sale and lease-back transactions, construction contracts and financing transactions, as well as management and brokerage agreements.
Among his recent noteworthy negotiations are:
- Representation of a franchisee (tenant) in leasing numerous restaurant locations
- Representation of a landlord in leasing two (2) buildings to a publicly traded company for use as a human genetics research facility
- Representation of a government contractor for a build-to-suit lease for 145,000 square feet of office/warehouse space
- Representation of Landlord in re-leasing existing Big Box stores to grocery stores, home furnishing stores and other retail tenants
Mr. Hirsch regularly conducts lectures for the Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia commercial real estate brokerage community on various leasing, sales and brokerage issues and has lectured at the Georgetown University Law Center Annual Conference on Commercial Lease Negotiations.
